This shot was taken in Selayar on a spot called Netz – Net as a big old fishing net is hanging loosely along the wall at one point. The wall is full of life. Great dive!
We are approaching the end of the year. People are getting busy to buy presents, Christmas markets are open everywhere with the same smells and sounds. It’s cold and grey. All this and the recent news of the sinking of the Explorer made me choose this special photo as wallpaper. It was taken during my trip to the Antarctic peninsula. A chinstrap penguin takes care of its young chick. Life is tough out there and many do not survive. Mother and father are present. While one is searching for food the other one protects the youngster from the many dangers.
