Pink Northern Lights

I know nothing with any certainty but the sight of the stars makes me dream. (VincentVan Gogh)

Due to an high Kp index last night we were able to get a glimpse of the Northern Lights, even though very subtle. The pink colouration in the left part of the image is due to this phenomenon

The Moonrise

Tonight I went out to shot the stars despite a rising moon. The fields were golden coloured and a few thin clouds illuminated the sky. A lot of farmers were still out at work late after midnight
