I never heard anything about nudibranchs before I took a dive course. And even then, I knew they exist but it took me quite a time to spot one by myself. From this moment on, I got addicted to these strange creatures. Do you know that as they feed on poisonous stuff, they keep the poison to protect themselves? This specimen is feeding. There are so many things still to be discovered in our seas and it scares me to know that some of them would dissappear even before being discovered. I just hope that our kids can experience the underwater realms in “real” and not only as these girls on a canvas in a museum…

Diving the Similans is always a new experience. The underwater rock formations are stunning. In some places you can harldy see the reef as it is covered in glassfish. The first time we dived here was in 2001 with only 24 logged dives. Last November we spent another week on the “Flying carpet” the liveaboard boat run by Aladdin Dive, Ko Chang.
Mantas and whalesharks are often seen. We were lucky enough to seen them.
