Seahorse beauty

I love seahorses. I’m amazed to see how they behave, move around and hide from us divers. In Lembeh we were lucky enough to see some on almost every dive, from pygmy seahorses to the thorny ones like this specimen. Do you know that the males are  carrying the babies.

Underwater Beauty (Similan Islands, Thailand)

Diving the Similans is always a new experience. The underwater rock formations are stunning. In some places you can harldy see the reef as it is covered in glassfish. The first time we dived here was in 2001 with only 24 logged dives. Last November we spent another week on the “Flying carpet” the liveaboard boat  run by Aladdin Dive, Ko Chang.
Mantas and whalesharks are often seen. We were lucky enough to seen them.

Three years ago we spent 2 months travelling through Indonesia. One of the many highlights was the small fishing village Labuan Bajo on the western tip of Flores Island. From there you have spectacular sunset views over the Komodo National Park. Diving in this region is rewarding if you love strong currents. Topside you get the unique chance to spot one of the 4000 remaining Komodo dragons. Right now we are planning our next dive trip to Komodo in November 2007. The divers amongst you are warmly welcome to join.
