The Philippines – Again but differently

This time we are visiting 4 different spots during our dive trip.
We start in Southern Leyte at Southern Leyte Divers Resort far away from mass tourism to enjoy unspoiled spots. I have been diving around Padre Burgos almost 10 years ago so you can imagine how excited I am to check it out again!
Our second week brings us back to the world and Panglao’s Happy Hour🙂
We will check in at Bohol Sea Resort on Danao beach about 3 km away from busy Alona.
The third week brings us to Camiguin Gecko Divers. Again away from the crowds on a volcanic island.
Cabilao is our last stop. We will stay at Polaris. I personally love the dives around Cabilao

Diving in Zeeland/Grevelingen, The Netherlands

This is the first time for us to dive in Zeeland.

Zeeland  is the westernmost province of the Netherlands. The province, located in the south-west of the country, consists of a number of islands (hence its name, meaning “sea-land“) and a strip bordering Belgium.

Large parts of Zeeland are below sea level. That’s why we will have a tuba with us at all times🙂

Selayar Dive Resort

This is a very special trip! Going to Selayar is like going to meet old friends and family. Chris and I have been to Selayar in their first year of opening in 2003. We were  backpacking through Indonesia and arranged a couple of days there! It’s like paradise : 8 bungalows, the restaurant and the dive centre on a wonderful white beach. No streets lead you there, the only access is by the sea. No TV, no phone, no internet! Only the sounds of the waves, the geckos and the birds.

Walk down the jetty and plunge into the ocean. The housereef wall drops down to…well far too deep for recreational divers🙂

Kri Eco Resort

We are heading to Raja Ampat. This has since long been high up on our wishlist. We will spent 2 weeks diving with Papua Diving at Kri Eco Resort. After this we’ll spent 3D/4 N in the Tana Toraja before heading home.

We are all really excited

Flores dive and travel trip

This trip will take us via Singapore and Bali to Maumere (Flores) where we will spend one week diving in a pristine setting. If you like to have a dive spot all for yourself. here is the right place then. I for myself started to learn a few words in Bahasa indonesia as most dive guides are far from being fluent in English.

After the first week we’ll travel overland for 4 days westwards towards Labuan Bajo. This will bring us to some stunning villages, volcano’s and people.

In Labuan Bajo you can enjoy the sunset over the Komodo NP in the distance. Diving the strong currents, beautiful corals and visit the Komodo dragons all together is our plan here! Labuan Bajo is still a quiet village on the western tip of Flores.

After one week of diving here, we’ll move back to Bali and then homewards.

Due to the strong currents on both sites and the remoteness, we won’t take any beginners on this trip. You should be able to dive strong currents and feel comfortable without a detailed briefing….as “Follow me ” would resume most of them
